Alan has been working in high technology public relations for more than 20 years, following his time as a technology reporter and editor at Computerworld. As an Account Director at Rainier, Alan plays an active role in planning and executing PR programs for a variety of start-up and established hardware and software clients, helping them earn favorable media coverage, awards, ‘thought leadership’ content placements and more. Clients who have benefited from his work on their teams include Compass-EOS, Thin Film Electronics, M/A-COM, Moasis Global, AMD, NXP Semiconductors and others.
Alan has strong skills in writing and has generated hundreds of bylined articles, case studies and white papers for clients in industries ranging from high tech, business-to-business and consumer packaged goods to automotive and trucking.
Prior to joining Rainier, Alan worked as a solo tech PR practitioner for 10 years. Prior to that, he worked on technology accounts at McCoin & Smith Communications, Lois Paul & Partners and Creamer Dickson Basford Public Relations. He also served as Director of Public Relations for Corporate Software & Technology.
Alan is an honors graduate of American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts, where he majored in English and minored in journalism.
Apart from technology, Alan is passionate about the Maine coast, Italy, national parks, day tripping and vacation travel, the environment, politics, reading, history, architecture, roller coasters, the great outdoors and family and friends.
